On November 13 the 45th All Japan Taido Championship was held at BumB Sports Center, Tokyo.

This was the first All Japan Championship since the horrifying disaster that hit Japan in March and was preceded with deep discussions on how to best proceed under present circumstances. However, seeing the players from Miyagi prefecture showed us what dedication, passion, and a spirit to never give up leads to, and the decision to hold the Championship in spite all was the right decision. Tanno and Iwama both finished on second place in Jissen and Hokei respectively. The Miyagi men's Jissen Team also took silver under very competitive circumstances. Watching the players from Miyagi, and their fighting spirit was a very humbling experience, which I think most of us participating share.

The performances by the members of the Yamanashi team led to a total victory. They won Men's Jissen, Team and individual, Tenkai (men), but also have several second positions as well as third and fourth places.

The BumB arena is fairly small and thus hard to manage when it comes to an event of this size. However, the organizing committee led by Mr. Okamoto did a great job.

There were also a lot of younger players that hold great potentials wich hopefully will be blossoming at the WTC 2013 in Finland.
