Birthday Party PDF Print E-mail
Written by WTF

January 23 is the birthday of Taido and this year the annual festivities were held in Tokyo.

It is also a year since Soke II passed away and there have been many rumors about the successor.

At the event Taido Soke III Seiken Shukumine (Yoriko Kudo) made a very touching speach about the importance of grass root activities. She expressed that the future Taido develoment lies in the everyday struggle you all are doing, and thank you for that. She also expressed the importance of keeping the name Seiken Shukumine alive, through the title of Soke, and hope that we all together can keep the spirit that Seiken Shukumine Saiko Shihan created alive and make it spread even further.

Three new dojos were registered during 2010 and hopefully there will be more during this year.

Tetsuji Nakano and Yuki Seto received the awards for the Most Valuable Player during 2010. Although Nakano did not win a double title at the All Japan, his second place in Hokei, together with his other winns put him far before the second place player.

It will be interesting to see if there is anyone who can threaten them during the coming competitions this year.
